University of Pennsylvania Job Fair and Networking Event
A Job Fair? You must be kidding? What companies are hiring in times like these? Well, there are still some firms in the Midwest that are looking for human resources.
We have assembled a number of firms in the fields of Banking/Finance, Information Technology, Insurance, and Others (subject to change) that are in need of people and are very interested in what University of Pennsylvania Alumni have to offer. In an effort to promote the great talent that our school has produced and to facilitate industry networking, The Penn Club of Chicago, Wharton Alumni, and the Class of 1989 Reunion is sponsoring a Job Fair that will take place at the Elephant and Castle Restaurant at 111 West Adams on Thursday, April 23, 2009. The Job Fair will be limited to Penn Alums only. We will start at 4pm with a presentation by Penn Career Services and following that, the business of career matchmaking begins! Please note that registration is on a first come first serve basis and that it is limited to 200 people. There will also be food and a chance to network with other alums in your field. Registration can be done through the Penn Club of Chicago Website. Hope to see you there!!
Class of 1989 Pre-Reunion Event
Yes it has been 20 years since we graduated from Penn and how the world has changed since then. If you haven’t been back to campus in a while, you will be amazed at some of the changes that have taken place. As Midwest alums, some of us don’t get back as often as our former East Coast roommates do, so we really want to encourage all of our Chicago Alums to make the trip to Philadelphia this May for our 20th Reunion Celebration.
We will be having a pre-reunion pep-rally of sorts on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Elephant & Castle Restaurant from 4pm to 8pm. There will also be a job fair that evening so if you are in the market, please take advantage of that also. There will be food, friends you haven’t seen in a while (even though they live in Chicago too), and a chance to plan your trip to Philadelphia in May 2009.
